Readme - Framework Mapscores for 302 Lines

This file contains mapscore and associated information for framework loci on the IBM mapping population. Column 1 contains the mapmaker locus name for each marker. Column 2 contains expanded locus names that are mapmaker incompatible as they appear on the map drawings posted here (http://www.maizemap.org/ibm_frameworkmaps.htm). Column 3 contains the coordinate on the maps as they appear here (http://www.maizemap.org/ibm_frameworkmaps.htm). Column 4 contains the chromosome number. Column 5 contains the mapscore data from the 302 mapping lines used to create the maps. A list of the 302 lines can be found at http://www.maizemap.org/ibm_maps/final%20map%20lines.txt.

To recreate the maps as displayed here use the mapmaker .prep files we have posted.

CAUTION: Due to the number of markers and individuals we had to analyze each chromosome individually to construct the maps displayed here. It is very likely that you will not be able to run the map for all 10 chromosomes in 1 file. We will be posting a subset of markers that can be used in a single file for mapping of your marker or trait against all chromosomes on this page shortly. We recommend you use this subset to facilitate comparison of your data with others and to allow easy assignment of your marker or QTL to a bin.
